Our Surety/Bonds Experts

Our Surety Bonds experts can help with all your construction, banking, court, fiduciary or other risk needs.

Meet one of the talented members of our Surety/Bonds team, JIM BINDER.

With more than 30 years of surety bonding expertise, Jim Binder brings a wealth of insight to construction clients.

A SOLID FOUNDATION
Jim’s expertise in construction has been built over a lifetime. His dad was a contractor, which meant Jim spent a lot of time on construction sites as a boy — from almost the time I was walking,” Jim explains. Throughout junior high, high school, and college Jim worked summers in Alaska on construction jobs. Those experiences allow Jim to bring clients a unique understanding of their world.

ON THE PERKS OF COFFEE
Jim has worked with some of his clients for 30 years — a testimonial to his high level of personal service. “For our clients, the challenges are constant,” he says. “They may be growing, taking on new projects — whatever it is, often they’re running so fast and furious, that unless you’re actually sitting across the table, it might not occur to them to tell us about any changes. But by sitting down over a cup of coffee with no particular agenda, you hear about those important things — it allows us to stay in front of the curve to help them with what’s ahead.”

WHAT MAKES PROPEL DIFFERENT?
There’s not a single answer to that question, Jim says. “I’d have to say it’s different for every client, because every client is different.” We work with our clients to find out what unique things they may be struggling with and address those unique issues in a customized way.”

TRAVELIN’ COUG
Jim and his wife are passionate travelers, and they consider Southern Ireland a dream destination. But when the Washington State Cougars are hosting a home game, there’s no place they’d rather be than Martin Stadium in the heart of Pullman, Washington.

Jim - on staying ahead of the curve:

“For our clients, the challenges are constant… often they’re running so fast and furious, that unless you’re actually sitting across the table, it might not occur to them to tell us about any changes. But by sitting down over a cup of coffee with no particular agenda, you hear about those important things — it allows us to stay in front of the curve to help them with what’s ahead.”
